DARIEN, Conn. -- Someone rifled through a car that was left unlocked on Hollow Tree Ridge Road in Darien last week, according to police.
The owner of a 2014 GMC Yukon reported that she got into her car at around 10:30 a.m. on Friday to run errands, when she saw that the glovebox was open and the contents were strewn about the passenger's seat. The center console was also ajar.
Nothing was reported to be missing. She told police that she had left her car unlocked during the overnight hours. Police conducted a neighborhood canvass, with negative results.
