Music For Summer Shakespeare Will Debut In Darien

DARIEN, Conn. - Music written by composer Brian Feinstein for Shakespeare on the Sound’s coming production of “As You Like It" will debut April 6 at a fundraiser in Darien.

The play will be performed from June 18 to 30 in Pinkey Park in Norwalk's Rowayton neighborhood as part of Shakespeare on the Sound's 18th season. 

The spring fundraiser - “Come Hither to the Magical Forest of Arden” - is inspired by "As You Like It." It takes place at 6:30 p.m., April 6, at the Wee Burn Country Club in Darien. Tickets are $175. For reservations or more information visit www.shakespeareonthesound.org.

Feinstein is composing fives pieces that will be sung to Shakespeare's words and performed on live instruments during this summer's play. 

Feinstein’s off-Broadway show, “Mimi Le Duck,” starred Eartha Kitt and he also wrote the music for a production of “Dial M for Murder” at the John Engeman Theater in  Northport, N.Y.
