The event, known as Christmas Throwdown, is a national event where several CrossFit gyms around the country participate together to kick off the holiday season and to give back to those less fortunate.

In addition to the support from event sign-ups, Dynamic Athletics will have a toy drive on the day of the workout, which will then be donated to a local Toys for Tots. All are welcome to drop off new, unwrapped toys to Dynamic Athletics.

“The workout is designed to be fun, challenging, and accessible to all skill levels,” says Lexi Forrest, coach at Dynamic Athletics and event coordinator. “Even if you haven’t worked out in a while, or tried CrossFit, you’ll still be able come in and get a great workout.”

The workout is as follows: 15-minute AMRAP (as many rounds/reps as possible), 12 deadlifts, 10 bar-facing burpees, 10 power cleans and 12 Kettlebell swings. Weights and movements will be scaled as needed.

Check-in will begin at 8 a.m., with the first heat starting at 8:30 a.m. Registration is $35 per person. All participants must register before the event at www.christmasthrowdown.com.
