A Connecticut man is facing felony charges after a brutal altercation left a Mahopac resident critically injured, Carmel Police announced in an updated release on Sunday, Dec. 8. Officers were called to the scene on Curry Road in Mahopac at 5:17 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 7. They arrived to find two men in the roadway. A 44-year-old Mahopac man was unconscious with life-threatening injuries, while 32-year-old Brooks Lawrence of Connecticut was detained at the scene. Mom Of 2 ID'd As Victim Of 'Suspicious' Death At Apartment: Report
The body of a 37-year-old Connecticut woman found inside a Hartford County apartment has been identified as a mother of 2, NBC Connecticut reported. Lisa Beebe was found on Tuesday, Sept. 24, at the Parkridge Condominiums at 1320 Berlin Turnpike in Wethersfield. She leaves behind a young son and daughter, her obituary said. Paramedics were called to her apartment after receiving a report of a medical emergency. Police Investigating 2 BB Gun Assaults At Yale University
Yale University Police are warning students and residents to be on the lookout for a dark-colored vehicle that fired a BB gun twice at members of the college community. The incidents occurred in New Haven around 12:15 and 12:25 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 25, in the area of Crown and High Streets and Broadway and Elm Street. Danbury Police Investigate Shooting At Rogers Park
Police in Fairfield County are investigating a shooting at a city park during a dispute in which no one was injured. The incident occurred in Danbury around 4:45 p.m., Monday, July 8, at Rogers Park on Memorial Drive. According to Danbury Police, officers responded to the park on a report of shots being fired. An investigation by detectives determined that a dispute took place and shots were fired, but no one was injured. Police in Fairfield County are investigating after learning of an anonymous social media posting that alleged there was a group of high school students in possession of a gun. The incident occurred in Greenwich on Tuesday, Feb. 27, and concerned Greenwich High School. Capt. Police and a crime stoppers organization are offering a reward to find the person responsible for a brutal attack and robbery of an elderly Connecticut man. The attack took place in New Haven County around 6 p.m. on Tuesday, June 6 on Conrad Street (Oak Terrace) in Naugatuck. It happened on Sunday, June 18 just after 8 p.m. in New Canaan, in the area of Smith Ridge Road (Route 123) and Canoe Hill Road The operator, who was the sole occupant of the vehicle, was evaluated at the scene by New Canaan Emergency Medical Services (EMS) but was not transported to the hospital. A 17-year-old is facing multiple burglary and larceny charges for his alleged involvement in a number of vehicle break-ins in Connecticut.
