New Milford Boy Scout Troop 78 Collecting Old Cell Phones NEW MILFORD, N.J. -- Boy Scout Troop 78 of New Milford is asking you to make the right call when it comes to recycling your old cell phones. The troop is collecting old cell phones as part of its Boy Scout Eagle Project. Drop-off locations are available at New Milford Borough Hall, 790 Trenton St.; the New Milford Public Library, 200 Dahlia Dr.; New Milford High School, 330 River Rd.; and at the New Milford Recycling Center. Boy Scout Troop 78 will personally collect cell phones from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. this Saturday, Sept. 12, at the New Milford Recycling Center, 930 River Rd.

Antoinette “Annette” Russo, 89, Of Yonkers YONKERS, N.Y. -- Antoinette “Annette” Russo of Yonkers died on Aug. 31 at the age of 89. A Lanoka Harbor resident of 13 years, Russo was the head teller at Chase Manhattan Bank for 40 years before retiring 23 years ago. Russo is preceded in death by parents Raphael and Maria. She is survived by 11 brothers and sisters, as well as many nieces and nephews. The family held a service for Russo on Sept. 2 at Santangelo Funeral Home, 300 N. Main St., Lodi, followed by interment at St. Michael’s Cemetery in South Hackensack.

Slatch-Heitlinger is survived by her husband Mark Heitlinger, parents Joel and Ronnie Slatcher, daughter Jenna, and brothers David and Lewis. The family had a funeral service for Slatcher-Heitlinger Sept. 3 at Gutterman and Musicant Jewish Funeral Directors, 402 Park St., Hackensack. The family also asks that in lieu of flowers that donations be made in Slatcher-Heitlinger’s memory to Hadassah of Northern New Jersey, 760 Northfield Ave., West Orange 07052.

A Palm Beach Gardens, Fla., resident for more than 31 years, Dellraria was a superintendent for Community Management Company for 10 years prior to retiring in 2002. Dellraria also worked for Uniroyal for 25 years, Vornado for 10 years and Associated Pile and Fitting for another 10 years. He was a veteran of World War II, serving in the merchant marine. Borrelli and his brother, John, were proprietors of North Arlington’s Borrelli’s Sweet Shop for 40 years before retiring in 2007. Prior to owning the shop, Borrelli worked as a machinist for 21 years at ITT in Clifton and at Reliable Machine Shop in Newark for 11 years. Borrelli served as a technical sergeant and Instructor in the Army infantry during World War II stationed in Florida, Louisiana and Japan. Borrelli was the son of John and Anna Marie (Calabrese). Born in Paterson, Buffalino lived in Washington Township before settling in Eatontown 30 years ago. He fought at the Battle of the Bulge as a member of the U.S. Army during World War II.
