Both officers have served the Danbury Police Department with distinction for many years and have received commendations for their work and dedication to the job.
Rudisill began his career with the Danbury Police Department Feb. 27, 2006, and has performed an additional role as a part-time evidence technician since July 2012.
Additionally, he is a member of the crisis intervention team and is a patrol rifleman. He also has participated in several training classes, including basic and intermediate crime scene analysis with digital photography and an advanced technology course with world-renowned forensic scientist Henry Lee.
Rudisill has received numerous letters of appreciation and commendation, including special recognitions and commendations for his diligence in December 2006 and May 2008.
Perun began his employment as a police officer with the Danbury Police Department Feb. 26, 2001. Prior to his career with Danbury, he was a police officer in New Fairfield for three years.
Perun earned a bachelor's degree in criminal justice and has completed crime scene coursework through POST Academy.
During his tenure as a Danbury police officer, he has held the following additional positions:
- Community Affairs Unit/City Center Liaison: April 2012 — present

- Member of the Honor Guard: May 2010 — present

- Member of Emergency Services Unit/Tactical Team August 2009 — August 2010
Throughout his career, Perun has received several letters of appreciation and commendation, including special recognition in September 2008, a Meritorious Citation in July 2010 and a Unit Citation in May 2013.
