Danbury Man Slams Car Into Tree, Suffers Serious Injuries

DANBURY, Conn. -- A Danbury man suffered serious injuries when he slammed his 2002 Mercedes-Benz ML320 into a tree on Division Street early Friday and was partially ejected from the car, police said.

Edwin Cabrera-Prieto was driving north on Division Street at about 1 a.m. when he lost control of the vehicle, veered off the road and hit a tree near George Street, police said. 

The Danbury Police Department received a call at 1:09 a.m. of the serious motor vehicle crash. Officers found Cabrera-Prieto was partially ejected from the vehicle upon impact, police said. 

The impact also caused significant front end damage to the vehicle, police said. 

Cabrera-Prieto was transported by ambulance to Danbury Hospital for treatment of serious injuries, police said. No further information was released by police on his condition or on the crash.
