FAIRFIELD COUNTY, Conn. -- The storm that hit Fairfield County on Tuesday may not have ended up being quite as severe as predicted, but it did knock out power to several hundred people throughout the day and lead to a few road closures across the area.

The National Weather Service predicts that there could be some more rain on the way Wednesday and later this week. There is a 20 percent chance of showers on Wednesday, which is expected to otherwise be mostly cloudy with a high near 66. There will be a northwest wind around 6 mph, becoming a south wind in the morning.

Wednesday night will see a 40 percent chance of showers. The rest of the night will be mostly cloudy, with a low around 46.

There is a 30 percent chance of showers on Thursday, which will also be partly sunny, with a high near 59. There will be a northwest wind of 7 to 11 mph. Thursday night will be partly cloudy, with a low around 39.

Friday will be sunny, with a high near 60. Friday night will be mostly clear, with a low around 44.

Saturday will also be sunny, with a high near 66. Saturday night will be mostly cloudy, with a low around 51.

There is a 50 percent chance of showers on Sunday. Otherwise the day will be mostly cloudy, with a high near 65. Showers are likely to continue on Sunday night, which will have a low around 48 and a 70 percent chance of precipitation.
