Super Bowl Sunday will be sunny with highs in the low to mid 40s.
But there is a 20 percent chance of snow after 1 a.m. Monday with little accumulation expected. Overnight lows will be in the upper 20s with wind-chill values between 20 and 25.
Monday will be mostly cloudy, with a high hovering around the freezing mark. Intermittent, light snow is likely between noon and 4 p.m. with about a half-inch of accumulation expected.
On-and-off snow is expected to continue overnight into Tuesday, with less than an inch expected by daybreak Tuesday.
Tuesday will be mostly cloudy with a high around 32 and snow likely in much of the area. About an inch of snow is expected.
The snow chance continues Wednesday and will last through midnight.
The National Weather Service says the potential in each round of snow is uncertain in terms of track and intensity. Are we in for more surprise snow like last Friday, when up to 9 inches of snow fell in some parts of Fairfield County?
And to think that Beardsley Bart didn't see his shadow on Groundhog Day, calling for an end to winter and an early start to spring.
