New Canaan Man Charged With DUI After Car Crashes Into Ditch, Police Say
A man from New Canaan is facing DUI charges after he allegedly crashed his vehicle into a ditch in January, police say. New Canaan Police responded to the area of 97 Spring Water Lane on Tuesday, Jan. 22 around 11:30 p.m. on the report of a single-vehicle crash. Further investigation revealed that the driver, 60-year-old Richard Stewart, had struck a tree after traveling off of the road and landed in a ditch, New Canaan Police said.
