Bust Made In Fatal Sidewalk Stabbing In CT Months After Attack Connecticut police say they arrested a 36-year-old man in a two-month-old fatal stabbing that left a 26-year-old dead in New Haven, authorities said.  Thomas Norfleet, age 36, of New Haven, is accused of fatally stabbing Shamar Gibson during an argument on a sidewalk on July 6, New Haven police said in a press conference on Thursday, Sept. 5.  Norfleet and Gibson got into an argument over Norfleet's niece around 2 p.m. on Orchard Street. CT Teen Undergoes Emergency Surgery In Third Shooting In 3 Days A 17-year-old Connecticut boy is recuperating after undergoing emergency surgery following a shooting on Tuesday, Sept. 3. It was the third shooting in New Haven this week, police said.  Officers received a ShotSpotter alert around 5:45 p.m. near Sherman and Edgewood Avenues, where they found the boy suffering from a bullet wound, New Haven police said.  Paramedics rushed the teen to Yale-New Haven Hospital, where doctors performed emergency surgery to save his life.
