Police Nab Stamford Man For Stabbing In Park
A Stamford man was nabbed within hours after stabbing another man in Leone Park following a fight.Evans Powell, 26, was apprehended by Stamford detectives about 4 p.m. Wednesday after the injured man drove to Stamford Hospital for treatment after being stabbed Tuesday night, said Lt. Tom Barcello. Officers were able to receive enough information to identify the suspect and tracked him down quickly on Wednesday while he was in a car traveling down Cove Road and taken into custody without incident, Barcello said.
