Convicted Felon Illegally Possessed .40 Caliber Handgun, Indictment Says A convicted felon is facing new troubles with the law after allegedly possessing an illegal firearm in Connecticut that had been stolen and used in a burglary. Waterbury resident Jonathen Lopez, 28, who has previous felony drug and weapon convictions, was arrested this week and charged with possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. The indictment was brought on Thursday to a grand jury in New Haven, charging him with the crime.
