Man Found Dead 12 Hours After Police Respond To Report Of Shots Fired, Bridgeport Police Say A Bridgeport man was found shot dead almost 12 hours after police responded to the area on a notification of shots fired. The incident took place in Bridgeport around 8:15 p.m., Wednesday, April 26 in the 100 block of Denver Avenue. According to Captain Kevin Gilleran of the Bridgeport Police, officers responded to the area on Wednesday after receiving a ShotSpotter notification. Once on the scene, officers collected several items of evidence, conducted interviews, canvassed the area, and documented their investigation, Gilleran said. 2 Nabbed In Bridgeport Double Homicide Carried Out From Back Of Scooter Two men have been charged in a drive-by double homicide in Fairfield County that was carried out from the back of a scooter. The arrests took place in Bridgeport on Wednesday, Aug. 10, exactly one month from the date of the murders. Jahmir Daniel, age 18, of Bridgeport, and Jack Vaz, age 19, also of Bridgeport, were arrested by Bridgeport Police for the murders of 32-year-old Ramon Peguero, of Hartford, and Kazzmaire Dorsey, age 18, of Bridgeport, said Scott Appleby, director of Emergency Management for Bridgeport.
