Threatening Texts Tops North Castle Police Blotter NORTH CASTLE, N.Y. -- Threatening texts top the latest North Castle Police blotter.  On Tuesday, June 21 at 6:09:27 p.m., a caller from Windmill Road reported that her ex-brother-in-law allegedly sent threatening texts to her father and other family member that were attending SUNY Purchase College's graduation. Route 34 At Stevenson Dam In Monroe Closes For Weekend MONROE, Conn. -- Route 34 at the Stevenson Dam will be closed again this weekend.  The closure will begin on Saturday, June 25, at 6 a.m. and will last until Sunday, June 26 at 11 p.m. A detour will send motorists south on Route 111 to Route 110 heading towards Shelton. Motorists can cross the Derby Bridge to return to Route 34 from there.

New Canaan Plans Family Fourth Celebration At Waveny Park NEW CANAAN, Conn. -- New Canaan's 36th annual Family Fourth celebration will take place at Waveny Park on July 4.  Family Fourth will include a fireworks display, family picnicking, live music, a children's games area and a food court.  Event passes are $35 per car-load for residents and $65 for non-residents.  Passes can be obtained at the Town Hall's Recreation Department Office.
