Police Identify Two Men In Their 20s Killed In Fiery Crash In Bridgeport

BRIDGEPORT, Conn. — The two men in their 20s who were killed in a one-car fiery crash on a dead-end street in Bridgeport on Christmas Eve were identified by police on Monday, according to the Connecticut Post. 

The crash occurred at the end of Laurel Avenue, off Capitol Avenue, in Bridgeport late Saturday. There is a concrete barrier at the end of the street.

The driver was Will Alexander-Armijo, 24, and the passenger was Ismael Hernandez, 26, both of Bridgeport, police told the Connecticut Post.

The Nissan Pathfinder slammed into a concrete barrier at the end of Laurel Avenue, off Capitol Avenue, just before 10 p.m. Saturday, police said. The street makes a dead end near Rooster River. 

Hernandez was declared dead at the scene, and Alexander-Armijo, who was pulled from the burning car by a witness, died later at St. Vincent’s Medical Center.

Police were investigating the cause of the double-fatal crash.
