The accident occurred at John Street and West Avenue at about 4 p.m., with the pickup driven by a 70-year-old Massachusetts man, the Post said.
No charges have been filed in the death of Carmen Martinez, 40, of Fairfield Avenue, the Post said.
The boy, who was in critical condition, was transferred to Yale-New Haven Hospital, the Post said.
