She was born May 2, 1924, in Stratford, to Henry and Laura Goodreau Roberts.
Boemmels lived in the Bridgeport area her entire life, and was retired from the Bridgeport School System Food Service Program.
She is survived by two sons, James (and devoted friend, Janice Dobson) Boemmels of Orange and Keith (Deborah) Boemmels of Windsor; and four grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
She was predeceased by her husband, James J. Boemmels.
A graveside memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, May 2, at the Union Cemetery, 23 Temple Court, Stratford.
W.R. McDonald Funeral Home, Stratford, is handling the arrangements.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Connecticut chapter of the American Diabetes Association, 2080 Silas Deane Highway, Rocky Hill, CT 06067.
