He was the husband of Jocelyn Day Reese.
He was born Jan. 29, 1949, in Bridgeport, to the late Julius C. and Helen B. Reese. He attended the public school system in Bridgeport and graduated from Warren Harding High School. He joined the armed services and served a tour of duty in the Navy. After his service for his country, Reese returned to Bridgeport and was employed by and retired from Sikorsky Aircraft.
He is survived by his wife, Jocelyn; a son, Donald H. Shevlin; a stepdaughter, Erica Day; two, stepsons, Donald Day Jr. and Anthony Day; a brother; a sister; a special niece; a special nephew; three grandsons; three aunts; several nieces, nephews, cousins and a special grand-niece.
He was predeceased by his brother Kenneth A. Reese.
A funeral service will be held Thursday April 30, at 7 p.m. at Baker-Isaac Funeral Services, 985 Stratford Ave., Bridgeport. Friends may greet the family at 5 p.m. until the time of service. Interment will be held at the convenience of the family.
