Special ceremony is being held in honor of Flag Day
MYSTIC U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) will present 66 candidates for citizenship to the U.S. District Court of Connecticut during a special naturalization ceremony being held Monday June 16th in honor of Flag Day.
The Honorable Donna F. Martinez, United States Magistrate Judge, will administer the oath of allegiance to America's newest citizens during a special naturalization ceremony at Mystic Seaport, The Museum of America and the Sea.
Speakers and honored guests include: The Honorable Donna F. Martinez, United States Magistrate Judge; The Honorable Joe Courtney, United States House of Representatives; Diane Urban, Connecticut State Representative; Steve White, President, Mystic Seaport, The Museum of America and the Sea; and Ethan Enzer, Supervisory Immigration Services Officer, Section Chief, USCIS.
The 66 candidates come from the following 32 countries: Albania, Bangladesh, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Brazil, Canada, Cape Verde, Peoples Republic of China, Colombia, Ecuador, Egypt, Estonia, Ghana, Greece, Haiti, India, Indonesia, Jamaica, Latvia, Macedonia, Morocco, Nepal, Panama, Poland, Russia, South Africa, St. Lucia, Ukraine, United Kingdom, Uzbekistan, Vietnam, Yemen, and Yugoslavia.
The candidates participating in this ceremony reside in the following Connecticut cities and towns: Bristol, Clinton, Cromwell, Danbury, Fairfield, East Hartford, Glastonbury, Greenwich, Hartford, Manchester, Meriden, Middletown, New Britain, New Haven, Norwalk, Norwich, Rocky Hill, South Windsor, Stamford, Torrington, Vernon, Waterbury, Wethersfield, West Haven, and West Hartford.
