Connecticut Boasts $1M Winner As Powerball Jackpot Soars To $400M

FAIRFIELD COUNTY, Conn. – Somewhere in Connecticut, a lucky Powerball player is a millionaire after Saturday's drawing.

The ticket sold is Connecticut is one of four sold nationwide that matched five of the numbers — but not the red Powerball number. 

And no one matched all six numbers in Saturday’s drawing, which means the jackpot total now stands at an eye-popping $400 million. The next drawing is Wednesday.

The winning tickets were sold in Connecticut, Pennsylvania, California and South Carolina, and are worth $1 million each. The Pennsylvania winner will get $2 million because he or she used the Power Play option.

The winning numbers were: 5-6-15-29-42.

The red Powerball number: 10.

The Power Play number: 2X.
