A Long Island teenager who shot and killed a college basketball player from Queens last year was sentenced to prison time on Tuesday, Aug. 11.
Jacob McMillan, 19, of Baldwin, got 20 years to life for the murder of Amira McCleod outside a house party in Hempstead, the Nassau County District Attorney’s office said.
“Jacob McMillan chose to settle a petty dispute with violence and senselessly fired into a crowded party without a second thought, tragically killing Amira with a stray bullet,” District Attorney Anne Donnelly said.
