Tanker Truck Driver Dad Remembered As 'Wonderful Husband,' After Rt 309 Lehigh Crash (Update)
The tanker truck driver killed in a head-on crash with a tractor-trailer on Route 309 is remembered as a devoted husband, father, and hardworking family man.
Keith Staines, 52, of Tamaqua, was killed when his tanker truck collided with a tractor-trailer near Route 309 and Gun Club Road in Lynn Township around 3:35 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 7, according to the Lehigh County Coroner's Office.
Staines was pronounced dead at the scene at 4:10 p.m. He died from multiple blunt force trauma, and his death was ruled accidental following an autopsy on Monday, Aug. 10.

Heroin, Cocaine: Newark Man Arrested After Traffic Stop, Police Say
A 38-year-old Newark man was arrested and charged after drugs were found in his vehicle in Stafford, authorities announced.
At 10:17 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 7, Brandon Felix's vehicle was stopped near Route 72 and Stafford Square, Stafford Township police said. During the course of the motor vehicle stop, officers developed suspicion that Felix was in possession of a controlled dangerous substance inside the vehicle, police said.
A subsequent search of the vehicle resulted in officers locating a digital scale and quantities of suspected crack cocaine, and suspected heroin, police said.
