Port Chester resident Fredy A. Regalado-Carranza, 32, was arrested on Saturday, Oct. 31, after troopers saw the children in the back seat of his vehicle, New York State Police announced on Tuesday, Nov. 3.

A homeless Long Island man attacked two nurses and hospital security personnel on Monday, Nov. 2, police said.
John Prunty, 22, was at Mount Sinai South Nassau Hospital in Oceanside when he threw a table at one nurse and struck another nurse in the face, the Nassau County Police Department said.
The hospital’s security team responded to the incident, and Prunty fought back, hitting two guards and attempting to choke them, cops said.
When police responded to the scene around 7:20 p.m. Monday, they arrested Prunty without further incident, authorities said.
