A 28-year-old Prince William County man has been arrested for his role in a mob assault that left a 46-year-old man unconscious, authorities said. The victim was dropped at an area hospital on March 8 around 4:30 p.m. after he was assaulted at a property on the 4200 block of James Madison Highway in Haymarket, county police said. A woman implicated in a violent assault inside a Prince William County home last month has been apprehended, authorities say. Manassas resident Jasmine Denisha Garcia, 36, has become the second person arrested for an incident inside a Haymarket home that saw a man threatened with a knife to his neck and then a gun to his head. A 70-year-old Virginia man has been arrested for shooting and killing his 16-year-old dog authorities said. John James Ogle was trying to "euthanize" his cocker spaniel-poodle mix in a wooded area near Verde Place and Piedmont Drive in Haymarket around 8:45 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 30, Prince William County police said. New HOV Requirements On I-66 Officially Take Effect In Virginia: Department Of Transportation
New HOV rules took effect on Monday on the new I-66 Express Lanes in Northern Virginia. As of Monday, Dec. 5, carpoolers will be required to have at least three - not two people in their vehicle, with an E-ZPass Flex transponder switched to "HOV On” mode to bypass the tolls in those lanes, otherwise, motorists will have to pay a toll that will vary, depending on the flow of traffic.
