Jersey City Porch Pirate Busted In Wayne: Police A 28-year-old Jersey City resident was arrested and charged on Wednesday, July 30, after he stole multiple packages from a residence in Wayne, authorities said. Officers responded to a home in the Heritage Manor neighborhood after a resident reported he observed on his home security camera a man, Cesar Moquete, taking packages from the front porch of his home soon after they were delivered, Wayne police said in a release. Man Stole Security Officer's Loaded Firearm From Vehicle: Newark PD A man is at large after he snatched a firearm from a security officer's vehicle in Newark on Friday, July 19, authorities said. At 11:50 a.m., the suspect broke into the car, parked at Franklin Street and Federal Square and took his loaded off-duty weapon, Newark Public Safety Director Fritz Fragé said. Golf Course Near Ex-Playboy Club Vandalized, NJ Town's Mayor Says (Video) A golf course located next to a former Playboy Club was vandalized in Sussex County on Saturday, July 27, authorities said. Vernon Mayor Anthony Rossi posted a video on Facebook of the vandalism at Great Gorge Golf Course, which is located next to the site of a former resort, that previously had a Playboy Club in the 70s and 80s. Home Explosion Rocks Quiet North Jersey Neighborhood An unoccupied home in Westfield was destroyed following a fiery explosion on Monday evening, July 29, authorities said. Man Sexually Assaulted Co-Worker: Secaucus PD A 48-year-old Philadelphia man was arrested and charged on Wednesday, July 24 with sexually assaulting a co-worker in Secaucus in May, authorities said. On Friday, May 3, Christopher White sexually assaulted his co-worker in the back of their truck at a business location on Enterprise Avenue, Secaucus police said. Following an investigation, White was taken into custody in Kearny and charged with sexual assault, authorities said. He was transported to the Hudson County Jail, police said.
