The body of a right whale mother was found off the Virginia coast last week died from a vessel strike, the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) announced Thursday, April 4. The carcass of Catalog #1950 was found 50 miles off the coast of Virginia on March 30 and towed ashore. A necropsy was conducted on Tuesday, April 2.
