Chiquita Lorraine Chapman, 47, is facing multiple charges after she and a group of minors allegedly assaulted a 15-year-old girl and 33-year-old woman at a Woodbridge apartment complex over the weekend.

Officers from the Prince William County Police Department were called to the Woodwind Village Apartments at around 5:15 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 26 in the 1800 block of Clarinet Court to investigate a reported fight that had just taken place.

According to investigators, Chapman's victims were in the area when they were approached by a group of people who got into a verbal altercation that quickly turned physical. During that fight, Chapman allegedly took out a wooden bat and struck the 33-year-old before the groups were separated.

Both victims were taken to an area hospital for treatment and evaluation of minor injuries.

During the investigation, Chapman was identified as the main suspect, and it was later determined that the incident also involved six girls between the ages of 13 and 17.

Chapman was charged with six counts of contributing to the delinquency of a minor and one count of malicious wounding. Her bond was set at $10,000 and her court date is pending as of Tuesday afternoon.

Investigators say that officers are also seeking additional charges for the minors involved in the fight.
