A 30-year-old man tried to take on police officers in Arlington attempting to arrest him after he illegally gained entry into a woman's home, officials say. Members of the Arlington Police Department were called at around 4:15 p.m. on Monday afternoon to the 700 block of North Glebe Road, where there was a report of "suspicious circumstances" involving a man and woman. A Florida woman who barricaded herself in a vacant Virginia home will face a litany of charges after breaking into the Arlington residence. Officers from the Arlington Police Department were called to the 2300 block of North Powhatan Street to investigate a report of "suspicious circumstances," after Dania Beach resident Vivian Vann was caught breaking into an area home, police say. One person was taken into custody by Secret Service agents after striking a security gate near the White House, a spokesperson for the agency said. The morning commute was slightly impacted in DC on Tuesday, May 16, when an allegedly drunk driver struck a gate at approximately 4:30 a.m. near 15th Street and E Street. A peeping tom who went into his victim's yard exposed himself through a window in Washington DC in 2021 has been identified as a 31-year-old homeless man, authorities said. Andre Jamar Turman repeatedly entered the victim's yard on Thursday, Sept. 2, 2021 on the 200 block of 5th Street, SE, police said. A suspect has been identified in this week's killing of a Washington DC mom of five, authorities said. Wonell A. Jones, Jr., 34, is accused of gunning down 33 year-old Audora Williams in the 2900 block of Knox Place, Southeast Tuesday, July 19, DC Metro Police Chief Robert J. Contee II said.
