Fairfax Inmate Involved In Police Shootout Dies: Authorities A 61-year-old prison inmate died after suffering a medical emergency, police said. Glenn Myer, who was being held at the Adult Detention Center, succumbed to medical issues in the hospital on July 15, Fairfax County Police reported. Myer was incarcerated since 2020 after he shot someone in his apartment and proceeded to shoot law enforcement when they arrived at the scene, officials said. Leesburg's Quinn Gorman, 13, Didn't Let Cancer Define Him Though Quinn William Gorman battled osteosarcoma, it did not define him.  The 13-year-old Leesburg boy died earlier this month after a valiant three-year fight, his obituary said.   He rarely complained about his disease. Rather, the teenager loved to hunt, fish, and play sports. He's survived by his parents, Peter and Nikki Gorman, and sisters Ava, Chloe, and Kate, as well as many extended family members.  The family will hold calling hours on Tuesday, May 17, from 4 to 6 p.m. at Colonial Funeral Home in Leesburg.
