'Raging' Sword-Wielding Man Airlifted After Threatening Relative, Being Shot By Police: Sheriff A 27-year-old was arrested for threatening his relative’s life before charging at police with a sword, officials said. Nicholas Howell of Spotsylvania reportedly threatened a family member with a weapon on July 18 at around 5:55 p.m., the Spotsylvania County Sheriff’s Office announced. When the first deputy arrived at the scene, Howell charged at the officer with a 33-inch Spartan Warrior Style Sword, officials reported.
