Tropical System Expected To Become Hurricane Heads Toward Virginia: Here's Projected Path A new tropical system has just been identified that has the potential to become a hurricane with its projected path taking it up the East Coast. And Virginia could get hit, according to the National Weather Service NOAA National Hurricane Center (see image above).
