Maryland Native, 'Schitt's Creek' Executive Producer Ben Feigin Dies, 47 Maryland native and Emmy-winning producer Ben Feigin died on Monday, Oct. 24 at his Los Angeles home after a battle with pancreatic cancer, E! News reports. He was 47. Known for his work as an executive producer for the sitcom "Schitt's Creek,' Feigin grew up in Silver Spring and won an Emmy award in 2020 for his work on the show. He leaves behind his wife, Heidi, and their 11-year-old daughter, Ellie. Eugene Levy, the show’s co-creator and one of its main characters, took to Twitter to express his condolences.
