Officers were flagged down in the area of Ashton Avenue and Rosemary Drive after Augusto Castillo Aguilar, 22, reportedly robbed the woman as she was walking around the area, according to Prince William County police.
The victim claims that Castillo Aguilar approached her and grabbed her purse, causing a brief struggle that left the victim with minor injuries.
Officers were able to locate Castillo Aguilar and were able to detain him after he attempted to run away.
The suspect has been charged with robbery and is being held without bond.
