Police ID Ashburn Motorcyclist Killed During Police Pursuit In Virginia A motorcyclist died after refusing to stop for Virginia State Police troopers and crashing, authorities announced. Nicholas Thompson, 33, of Ashburn, was killed after attempting to evade a traffic stop while speeding away from troopers before he ultimately lost control and violently crashed. Police say that shortly after 1:45 p.m. on Friday, a trooper spotted Thompson cutting through an emergency vehicle crossover on Route 7 in Loudoun County, and when he caught up to him and attempted to stop him, Thompson refused and sped away down Route 7 into Clarke County.
