A pair of men from Virginia posted bond and were released after they were found in possession of handguns during a traffic stop in Maryland, authorities said. St Mary's County Sheriff Deputy Joseph Senatore stopped a Dodge pickup truck for an equipment violation on Three Notch Road in Lexington Park on Wednesday, May 31, a spokesperson for the agency said. JMU IDs Three Virginia Students Killed In Crash
Officials at James Madison University have identified the three Virginia students who were killed in a West Virginia crash last week. John “Luke” Fergusson, of Richmond, Nicholas Troutman, of Richmond, and Joshua Mardis, of Williamsburg, all died in the Thursday, Feb. 2 crash, when the driver lost control and struck a tree along Route 259, according to university officials and authorities. A police officer in Virginia is behind bars after he allegedly shot a fellow officer while both were off-duty, according to authorities. Last week, on Wednesday, Jan. 25, officials say that two off-duty James City County Police officers were involved in a shooting in the City of Williamsburg that left one with multiple gunshot wounds. A Virginia man was caught at Richmond International Airport with a knife "artfully" hidden inside a laptop, authorities said. A 32-year-old patient who escaped from a psychiatric hospital in Virginia has been captured, authorities said. Michael Lee Corey Malone, who police say used the alias Christopher Feagin, was nabbed around noon on Tuesday, Oct. 25 after someone spotted him inside a convenience store on the 6400 block of Richmond Road/Route 60.
