Armed Man Shot By MD Troopers Airlifted To DC Hospital A 22-year-old armed man was shot by Maryland State Police troopers after lunging at them with a knife Friday, Aug. 18, authorities said. A four-year veteran of the MSP and a trooper who recently graduated from the MPS academy approached responded to  a home in the 44000 block of West Mervell Court in Hollywood, just before 11 p.m., State Police said.
