Virginia Man Convicted Of Killing Mother After Breakfast Fight In Maryland: State's Attorney A Virginia man has been convicted of strangling his mother to death in Maryland after an argument, the Charles County State's Attorney's Office announced. Norfolk resident Bandon Kiah Slade, 29, was found guilty following a six-day trial of murder, assault and other offenses in connection to the death of his mother, Lenora Coates-Slade, whose body was found stabbed to death with a plastic bag wrapped around her head in the family's garage three years ago.
