Flames were shooting from the home on the 15000 block of Merrily Way in Woodbridge, when firefighters arrived before dawn, according to the Prince William County Fire Department. According to NBC Washington, a nearby, on-duty officer noticed the fire and began pounding on the door. Firefighters responded to the office building on the 2000 block of Old Bridge Road around 5:30 a.m. after a passerby called in the blaze, rescue officials said.
