Two Entrapped, Five Hospitalized In Fairfax County Fire
Five people were hospitalized in a Fairfax County fire on Wednesday morning, April 10, responders said. The blaze broke out on the 13900 block of Whetstone Manor Court in Clifton around 10:15 a.m., the county fire department said. Two people were trapped inside the home where heavy flames were reported. Two occupants were removed from the home and seriously injured. Three others were hospitalized, too, police said.

Deadly Pre-Dawn Crash Closes I-95 In Prince William County (

A fatal crash closed I-95 in Prince William County early Monday, April 8. It happened near milepost 151.1 on the northbound side between Dumfries and Triangle around 3:30 a.m., when a GMC pickup truck and Kia SUV collided, police said. The GMC overturned as a result of the crash, and a passenger was ejected. The passenger died at the scene. As of 5:50 a.m., the north left shoulder, left lane, center lane, and right lane were closed. Traffic backups were approximately 4 miles. Virginia State Police were investigating.

A plumber found himself in a perilous position on Wednesday afternoon when a trench he was working on partially collapsed, leaving him trapped. An investigation has been launched after a multi-vehicle crash sent one car caroming into a building in Southeast DC on Friday afternoon. A multi-vehicle crash tied up I-95 in Fairfax County Wednesday morning, Feb. 14. It happened on the southbound side in Franconia at mile marker 173, the VDOT website said. Hanging Juvenile Victim On Playground Saved By Deputies In Stafford
Authorities in Stafford County saved the life of a juvenile attempting suicide this week. The juvenile called the suicide crisis hotline apparently before hanging himself by a belt at a local playground on Wednesday, Jan. 17, at 2:30 p.m., the county sheriff's office said in a release.
