Storm System Heads Toward Region: Another Rainy Weekend Ahead Seems as though we can't go a single weekend without rain in the Northeast this fall. Another developing storm system is expected to arrive this Saturday, Oct. 14, according to the National Weather Service. "Several days of quiet weather are expected before a storm system arrives unfortunately in time for the weekend," the NWS' Mount Holly office said. A Freeze Warning? But It's Almost May! With less than two days left in the month of April, a Freeze Warning has been issued for parts of Maryland and Virginia.  The warning will be effective from 1-9 a.m. on Friday, April 29, the National Weather Service said. The warning impacts portions of central, north central and northern Maryland as well as central and northern Virginia.  Freeze Warning until 9am for central and Northeast MD, eastern WV, and northern VA, along with the Shenandoah Valley.
