A 24-year-old man is facing charges after breaking into a Fairfax County home and trying to abduct a sleeping child, authorities said. Hyrum Baquedano Rodriguez forced his way inside of an apartment on the 7500 block of Little River Turnpike in West Springfield around 4 a.m. on June 15, Fairfax County police said. Wild Police Pursuit Leaves Driver Dead In Fairfax County
A 39-year-old man was ejected from his car and killed after leading cross-county police pursuit in northern Virginia over the weekend. Ashton Robinson, of Culpeper, fled the scene of a DWI checkpoint in New Baltimore, in a 2011 Dodge Journey around 1:20 a.m. Saturday, April 22, the Fairfax County Police Department said. Police ID Driver Killed In Falls Church Crash As 37-Year-Old Woman
A 37-year-old woman attempting an abrupt U-turn died when she was struck by another car in Fairfax County on Friday, April 21, authorities said. Christina Hamilton was in a 2018 Honda Civic, heading east on Arlington Boulevard, when she tried to make the turn near Patrick Henry Drive and was struck by a Honda Accord around 1:10 a.m. in Falls Church, county police said. As if he knew he was being watched, an armed man locked eyes with surveillance cameras at a Virginia hotel where he burst into a hotel room and sexually assaulted a woman on Saturday, Oct. 1, according to footage and information released by police.
