Loudoun resident Michael Morel is in police custody following an investigation into an alleged abduction shortly before 6:15 a.m. on Sunday, Oct. 16, in the 4100 block of University Drive.

It is alleged that Morel forced his way into his victim's bedroom through a window and forced said victim to leave with him in a vehicle.

Police say that after stopping at a Fairfax County convenience store, the victim was able to get free and ran into the store seeking assistance from the clerk, at which point, Morel fled the area.

The investigation identified Morel as a suspect and a warrant was issued for his arrest.

Morel was apprehended earlier this week by police in Fairfax and charged with one count of felony burglary and abduction. He was transported to the Fairfax County Adult Detention Center and is being held without bond.

No return court date has been announced as of Friday, Oct. 21.
