18-Year-Old Inmate Found Dead In Virginia Cell: Police

An 18-year-old inmate was found dead in his cell prompting a death investigation at the Prince William-Manassas Regional Adult Detention Center, police said.

Juan Felipe Mejia Campos of Alexandria was found unresponsive Thursday morning, March 28, county police said.

Aid was rendered, however, Campos died at the scene, police said. There were no signs of foul play. The death appears medical or narcotic-related. The investigation continues.

While online records show a 20-year-old Juan Mejia Campos of Stafford was arrested on March 20 on drug charges, county police could not confirm a correlation to this case.
