MD Fugitives Captured In Takedown Of $100K Target Store Theft Ring In VA: Sheriff
A trio of Maryland men accused of stealing $100,000 worth of merchandise across multiple towns were arrested in Virginia.
Stafford County Sheriff deputies responding to Target at Stafford Market Place around 11:45 a.m. Thursday, April 18 were met by a group of men hiding skin care items in a large bin, the sheriff's office said in a news release.
Among the men were Wilbur Sibert, 58, of Hyattsville, MD; Delbert Henry, 47, of Frederick, MD; and Canbrin Smith, 31, of Upper Marlboro, MD, police said. As deputies arrived, the trio fled out a fire exit with the stolen items.

Madani Ilara Tejan, also known as “Malik,” “Mylik,” and “Dani,” 31, was convicted of using a firearm in connection with a murder and robbery and for a drug distribution conspiracy, last year, officials say.

A 41-year-old Maryland woman has been charged in a crash that killed a moped operator two weekends ago in Virginia, authorities said.
Tiffany Lowan Randolph, of Upper Marlboro, has been charged with reckless driving in the Sunday, Aug. 20 crash in Woodbridge, Prince William County police said.

Corrections Officer, Inmate Get Time For Bribery, Drug Smuggling Scheme At DC Jail
A former corrections officer is heading to prison and an inmate will face more time for their roles in a bribery scheme at a DC jail, federal authorities announced.
Inmate Andre Gregory, 31, of Washington, DC, and Officer Beverly Williams, 52, of Upper Marlboro were sentenced this week to time behind bars after admitting to smuggling drugs into the District of Columbia Central Detention Facility.
Gregory got 42 months in prison, while Williams was sentenced to 18 months. A third co-conspirator, Keywaune McLeod, 28, is still awaiting sentencing after pleading guilty earlier this year.

Maryland Man Accused Of Beating, Stabbing Stepson To Death Captured By Police
Police have arrested an Upper Marlboro man accused of stabbing his stepson to death over the weekend, authorities say.
Prince George's County Detectives say that Jamie Porras, 68, stabbed Kelly McClary, 53, to death around 7 a.m., Friday, Oct. 7, inside of a home on Queen Anne Bridge Road.
McClary was discovered with several apparent blunt force trauma and stab wounds, and was pronounced dead on the scene.
Porras fled the scene after the attack and was later found at a different location. Porras is currently being held on a no-bond status.
