Armed Man Shot By MD Troopers Airlifted To DC Hospital
A 22-year-old armed man was shot by Maryland State Police troopers after lunging at them with a knife Friday, Aug. 18, authorities said. A four-year veteran of the MSP and a trooper who recently graduated from the MPS academy approached responded to a home in the 44000 block of West Mervell Court in Hollywood, just before 11 p.m., State Police said. One Dead, Two Airlifted To DC Hospitals Following Crash In MD, State Police Say
One person was killed and two others were airlifted to area hospitals following a fatal crash in Charles County on Monday morning. At approximately 9:30 a.m. on Monday, June 12, a Dodge Durango was driving on US Route 301 near MD Route 234 when the driver struck an embankment and overturned the truck, state police say. A man was hospitalized after being struck by sheriff’s deputies during an armed standoff with multiple Maryland law enforcement agencies in Calvert County.
