Bomb Threat Clears High School In Alexandria (Video) A bomb threat that cleared a Fairfax County high school turned out to be bogus, police said. West Potomac High School in Belle Haven was evacuated Wednesday morning, April 24 for a threat called in over the phone, police said. Out of an abundance of caution, the students were moved from the school to an alternate location as our EOD conducts a search. The search yielded negative results, police said. Video shared to X shows students sitting outside during the investigation.

Man Killed By Car In Fairfax County A man was struck and killed by a car early Thursday, Feb. 15 in Fairfax County, police said. The crash happened at Route 1 and Huntington Avenue in Belle Haven, police reported around 7:30 a.m. The man, a pedestrian, was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver remained at the scene.

Barricaded Man In Car Closes Fairfax Intersection: Police A man who barricaded himself in his car closed a Fairfax County intersection Thursday, July 14, authorities said.Police responded to the scene at GW Memorial Parkway and Belle Haven Road in Belle Haven, and removed the man from his car around 11:30 a.m., county police said. The Parkway was expected to reopen shortly.
