Troy Bullock, 28, of Southeast, DC, has been identified as the victim who was shot and killed by an FBI special agent inside the station at G Street and 11th Street in Northwest, the Metropolitan Police Department announced.

Investigators say that shortly after 8:20 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 7, an off-duty FBI agent - whose name has not been released - and Bullock were involved in a physical altercation inside of the Metro Center Station that turned physical.

Bullock pushed the agent backward over a railing onto the platform, knocking himself off as well, and both landed approximately eight feet below the platform, according to police.

After the fall, the FBI agent discharged his firearm and struck Bullock, who was treated at the scene by DC Fire and Emergency Medical Services, who pronounced him dead. The FBI agent was transported to an area hospital for treatment of "serious, but non-life-threatening injuries."

While investigating the fatal shooting, police say that they recovered a handgun from Bullock, whose body has been transported to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner.

The shooting is being actively investigated by the Metropolitan Police Department.

"The FBI Washington Field Office is cooperating with MPD to investigate an agent-involved shooting that occurred at Metro Center at approximately 6:39 p.m. on (Dec.) 7," an official for the agency wrote in a statement.
