Two men are heading to prison for their roles in separate conspiracies to evade tax obligations through bribes to a former DC Office of Tax and Revenue employee.
Andre De Moya, 51, of Temple Hills, and District resident Davoud Jafari, 72, will possibly spend years behind bars for their respective roles in multi-year schemes, federal authorities announced on Thursday.
Specifically, De Moya was sentenced to 30 months in prison, while Jafari was hit with 24 months for their roles in the schemes.

On Monday, the Prince George's County Police Department announced that Jeffrey Coachman, 49, and Recco Bouknight, 53, both of Washington, DC, are each facing multiple murder charges following a June shooting near a local liquor store and apartment complex.

Employment Dispute Leads To Murder Of DC Man In Temple Hills, Police Say
Police have arrested a suspect accused of killing a Washington, DC man in Temple Hills last month, authorities announced.
Omar Delonte Smith, 27, is believed to have fatally shot Eugene Smith, 31, in the 3100 block of Branch Avenue in the late night hours of Thursday, Feb. 23, according to the Prince George's County Police Department.
Investigators say officers found Eugene Smith laying outside of a business in the 3100 block of Branch Avenue, suffering from a gunshot wound.
He was pronounced dead at the scene.
