Police ID Motorcyclist Killed During Police Pursuit In Virginia
A motorcyclist died after refusing to stop for Virginia State Police troopers and crashing, authorities announced. Nicholas Thompson, 33, of Ashburn, was killed after attempting to evade a traffic stop while speeding away from troopers before he ultimately lost control and violently crashed. Police say that shortly after 1:45 p.m. on Friday, a trooper spotted Thompson cutting through an emergency vehicle crossover on Route 7 in Loudoun County, and when he caught up to him and attempted to stop him, Thompson refused and sped away down Route 7 into Clarke County. Motorcyclist Who Died In Fairfax County Crash Was On Stolen Bike, Police Say
Police have identified the 22-year-old motorcyclist killed in a crash involving a stolen bike Thursday, Aug. 31 in Fairfax County. Merle Webster Beach, of Springfield, was riding a stolen 2004 Suzuki on Henderson Road near thistledown Trail at a high rate of speed when he crested a small hill and lost control around 1:20 p.m. in Fairfax Station, police said. Beach was ejected from the bike and taken to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead. Spotsy Motorcyclist, 41, Killed In Head-On Crash
A 41-year-old Spotsylvania motorcyclist was killed in a crash Wednesday, Aug. 30, authorities said. Kendall Wade Neas was operating a 2016 Suzuki motorcycle on the 4200 block of Massaponax Church Road when he crossed the double yellow line coming out of a curve at a high rate of speed around 6:30 p.m., Major Troy Skebo of the Spotsylvania County Sheriff's Office said. Neas struck a 2019 Subaru head-on, and was pronounced dead at the scene. The Subaru's 27-year-old driver was treated at the scene and released.
