Authorities are investigating a two-car crash in a construction zone along the Dulles Greenway. A 2015 Jeep Cherokee was heading east on the roadway when it passed six, advanced florescent signs advising of the upcoming lane changes and rear-ended a crash cushion truck staged at the rear of the work zone around 10:35 a.m. Monday, April 15, State Police said. The 21-year-old Jeep driver, Andrew Rishmawi, suffered minor injuries and none of the construction workers were hurt. State police charged Rishmawi with reckless driving. Range Rover Passengers Ejected, Seriously Hurt In I-66 Crash
Three people were hospitalized, two with life-threatening injuries, in a crash on I-66 in Fairfax County early Easter morning, police said. A westbound Toyota Camry lost control, hit the right jersey wall, and then came to rest in the left travel lane around 3:45 a.m. in Fairfax County, State Police said. The crash caused the vehicle to lose power and go dark. Moments later, a Range Rover traveling in the left travel lane was unable to avoid striking the Camry. Spotsy Man Struck, Killed By 83-Year-Old DC Driver In Culpeper: Police
A 71-year-old Spotsylvania man was struck and killed by a car last week in Culpeper, State Police said. The unidentified man was walking south along Rixeyville Road when he was struck by a 2015 GMC Denali also heading south, near Colvin Road around 9:50 p.m. Wednesday, March 20, according to state police. The pedestrian was wearing dark non-reflective clothing and was not in a crosswalk, police said. He died while being transported to Fauquier Health. Double Tractor Trailer Crash Jams Capital Beltway In Fairfax County
A crash involving two tractor trailers on the Capital Beltway Wednesday, March 13 had traffic tied up during morning rush hour. It happened at 7 a.m. in the southbound lanes when a passenger vehicle and two tractor-trailers collided near Exit 45, State Police said. The impact of the crash caused one of the tractor-trailers to jackknife. There are no reported injuries. The 28-year-old male driver at fault was charged with following too closely.

A South Jersey man kidnapped a woman in New Mexico, then held her hostage during a nearly year-long cross-country trip before she managed to escape, authorities said Friday. James W.
